GOOD MORNING, YOUNG LADY

Mazamet. I have been here only three days and your gentle charm has completely entranced me.

Bonjour, and good morning, lady! I left Mapleton, Utah in the United States four days ago, and I already feel like a different person. One minute I was running around stressed and worried about a million things, and now I am in a different part of the world.

I decided to move to France last year in the winter of 2014. I contacted an agency who helped me find a host family that I would stay with for a total of three months. The process was quick, and much more simple than I thought. I no time, an unknown family had chose me as their ‘transfer.’ I just had no idea how wonderful it would be.

Mazamet (Maazamay) is a small village on the boarder of Spain and Italy and close to the Mediterranean Sea. It is beautiful, small and very old. The people are incredible. They are nice and sweet and everyone knows and loves everyone. There are cars, but the houses, people and businesses are so close that everyone just walks to where they need to go, because you only have to walk right around the corner.

How lucky could a girl get?

Say Bonjour! To Mazamet, from my bedroom window. Yes, my bedroom window.
